Join
Once you have cast on your stitches, the next step is to join to work
the body of the sweater in the round.
Before joining, be sure that all your stitches are going in the same
direction and none are twisted. The working yarn will be at the last
stitch on the right needle point. If it is on the left needle point, turn
your circular over and it will be on the right needle. I always line up the
stitches so that the bottom lays flat on the inside of the needle as
pictured at the left
Please note that you can run your finger smoothly along the bottom
of all the stitches.
To Join: With the working yarn, not the cast on tail,
knit the first stitch on the left needle. This is the first stitch
of your rib, the beginning of your round, and the join.
