We could have called this shrug/bolero, "As Seen On TV". It is my
interpretation of such a garment worn on the Today Show on the 4th
of July. I am relying on the picture to speak for itself. I just
can't find the words to express my delight in the way this sweater
turned out.
This is a seamless raglan sweater. It is a quick knit and because it
is an Interactive Pattern, the sweater can be knit in any yarn, any
gauge, any size. Play with needle sizes and your yarn until you get
a swatch that is airy. I recommend using a needle two sizes larger
than recommended on the ball band.
The sample was knit with a cotton/linen blend. We have every
intention of making another one in wool for fall/winter.
The text of the pattern is very detailed and will walk you through
every step. The sleeves are actually only 6 rounds of knitting
before they are attached to the body. You may want to use the one
long circ method to do each sleeve.
