The two button scarf presented quite a challenge to me.
I have to confess that I came up with the stitch quite by accident.
In experimenting with stitches that would create fabric density, I
made an error on a row of a popular stitch.
I really liked the result, and ended up using my 'mistake' stitch
pattern.
I am sure that I have not invented a stitch, but I have no idea if
it has a name.
This two button scarf has created quite a stir in the world of
knitting groups and bloggers.
Everyone here loves it and think it will make a wonderful holiday
gift.
I made the sample with Jojoland solid worsted. However, because the
pattern is interactive, you can use any yarn that you choose.
Although this Interactive Pattern may seem very simple to
you...(It's only a rectangle, after all), it hides its power behind
the scenes. To execute the buttonholes and not lose your place in
the pattern stitch, the Interactive Pattern will place them
perfectly for you, no matter your gauge.
Also, the pattern gives you the choice of 1 or 1.5" button.
Download and enjoy. But please remember that you need to have Adobe
Reader installed on your computer, and now, you save as well as
print.
You can use the Interactive Pattern over and over again, but
save or print the
pattern each time you use a new yarn or gauge.
