Interactive Patterns- How Do They Work?
Interactive Patterns will work on any computer, Windows or MAC,
that has Adobe Reader Installed. To get the latest version of Adobe
Reader, please click on one of the icons above.
A note to MAC users. Adobe Viewer is packaged with OSX, however it
is not the same as Adobe Reader. You must download
and install Adobe Reader.
Open Adobe Reader 8, open your Interactive Pattern.
On the first page of the pattern, below the picture of the
garment, you will see a box for you to input three bits of
information: stitch gauge, row gauge and size. Click the Calculate
button and the pattern is generated to your specifications.
Not required, but recommended information, is the yarn
you will use, the needle descriptions and any additions to the
material lists.
When you have finished, click the Print button or Save your
pattern with a new name. A new name, for your custom pattern is
suggested, in that way your template will remain in tact.
As always, knit a swatch. Without an accurate gauge, you will not
have an accurate pattern.
