The Grid
Below is a sample of Print-A-Grid paper.
Counting ticks are measured in 10 square horizontally
and 10 squares vertically.
This allows you to print paper to exact decimal gauge.
For example you can use a gauge of 4.6 x 6.3. If you take
a ruler and measure an inch and count squares you will see
that you have 4.6 square per inch. Therefore at the tick
count of 10 you will have a measurement of 2.17"
The paper depicted below is 4 stitches per inch by 5
stitches per inch. Therefore 10 grid blocks horizontally
(stitches)= 2.5" and 10 grid blocks vertically (rows)
represent 2" |
