For years, I did not knit cardigans for fear of ruining all my
hard work with sloppy or misaligned buttonholes
Thank heaven, those days are over. However, that the buttonhole
band is still a challenge. It is seldom that I pick up the number of
stitches prescribed in the pattern. And when I run across the line
"work 7 buttonholes evenly", I just want to pull my hair out.
I have a confession to make. I developed Interactive Buttonhole
Spacer first, for me. It is the tool that I wanted most.
Once the stitches are picked up for the band and counted, I can
open this sheet and within seconds, I have a full set of
instructions for a perfect buttonhole band.
In addition to providing the numbers needed to work
the buttonholes evenly, there are complete instructions for knitting
the type of buttonhole you chose. The buttonhole methods provided
are the one row buttonhole or the two row buttonhole.
The Buttonhole Spacer can be used over and over again. A friend
of mine told me that this file will probably reside on her desktop,
so it is always available.
Should you purchase Buttonhole Spacer, download and save to your
computer. Once you have saved the template, then open it with Adobe
Reader.
